4 out of 5 stars iPod Touch - A Great Multipurpose Device   June 11, 2008

This is my 3rd ipod and I can conclude that it is my favorite. Although the others I had were the very first iPod (with the 4 buttons along the top and the scroll wheel below) and the 1st gen nano. Both worked very well for me but they don't stand up to the touch.

Obviously the major selling point of the touch is well touch! And Apple does a very good job with it. I found it to be very responsive and have no issues with it. The keyboard will take some getting used to though. I will say that if you have big fingers the touch might not be for you.

Not all has been perfect with the touch though. I have one major gripe. At times when I am in an application say just listen to music, using safari, or just using Google maps, out of nowhere I will get kicked out to the home screen without warning. I'm not sure if it's just too much data being recieved at once of what. It just kicks me out to the home screen and doesn't give me a message, and I just have to go back to the app again. Now this doesn't happen to often. It's ridiculous that this happens but I don't mind if it's only a few times.

The touch is really easy to use which is why it's so like-able. Navigating is really easy. Music, are pretty straight forward. Safari is really easy to use. While viewing the page, slide you finger across to see more of the page, pinch your fingers to zoom-out, and "un-pinch" to zoom-in. For e-mail, just enter your info and you can browse your inbox, outbox, drafts, bulk.

So if your looking for a cool iPod with some pretty cool features check out the iPod touch. You won't be dissapointed.

5 out of 5 stars Does everything that most people want   June 9, 2008

I've had my Touch 32gb for 4 days now and I still find myself looking longingly at it. I'm not sure how Apple manages to get the screen to look so amazing or the Wi-Fi to be as fast as it is, but as an owner of a Dell X51v PDA, a Nokia 810 and an iPod classic I can speak from experience that this is a superior device to each and every one. The only thing that I wish for is the program selection that you have with Windows Mobile 6.0, but to not have the headaches and crashes it is worth it.

I have used a PDA for years and really didn't think that the Touch was up to the task of being my everyday device. Now I'm sure that my PDA will only serve to run the business software that runs on Windows Mobile. Other than that the device is perfect. Good form factor, fast processor, incredible screen, and a large hard drive. And with Apple releasing an SDK for it, there should be lots of software titles available soon.

For anyone who is a PDA user who has always wanted iTunes capability, I have one thing to say; Dump the PDA and get a Touch. Instead of having to run Windows software with codecs and dealing with constant problems, you get seamless iTunes connectivity with the fantastic Coverflow interface. Now, if we can only get a dual boot Touch that also has true GPS, we would have a Masterpiece.

5 out of 5 stars Itouch review   June 9, 2008

The itouch is a great product. The docking part included in the package didn't make any sense on how to use it. I just discarded it. The interface is great. I use the itouch for mainly podcasts and when I get tired of them, to watch videos. The itunes store doesn't have many of the videos that I'd want. The instructions are very limited and not that helpful.
