| Customer Reviews:
Great sound, but even redesigned plug wears out after a few weeks November 12, 2008 I'm on my second replacement set, and was hoping the redesigned plug would prevent the sound from shorting out as it did in the previous two pairs I've had. Unfortunately, yesterday the right earbud shorted at the same place as the previous two - at the base of the plug. It doesn't seem to matter how gently one treats this otherwise great product, because the end result is the same. I've given up and have ordered a pair of Etymotic Research HF2 buds for the iPhone. As others have said, v-moda's customer service is fine. It's simply the fact that one has to be in contact with them every few weeks which is the deal killer.
Don't Do it!!!! November 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you look at most of the reviews at apple.com they speak the truth. They are nice looking but don't last. My pair lasted about 4 months before dying and I keep reading that the replacement pairs are just as bad so it gives me little hope.
So keep you money. I paid over 100 for these so they are cheaper here but they still will die on you. I'm not sure how this company is still in business with these faulty headphones and multiple complaints. I'm just it's not like that for everyone but considering how many bad reviews there are for this item, I wouldn't take the chance.
Too bad they're so disposable November 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was hesitant to buy these earphones after reading several reviews from customers who claimed that they broke not long after purchase. For the first six weeks I couldn't have been happier with the quality, style, and functionality of these earphones, but at nearly $100, they need to last longer than a month or two. The sound began crackling on one side, and only by fiddling with the connection at the base of the plug could I get stereo sound. This got considerably worse, and now they're completely unusable. I wish I could rely on these earphones, but I'll be seeking out a different brand for a replacement.
crap! November 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
one of the ear phones went dead on me after 1 month. They dont even sound that great for how much I paid.
Great earbuds! October 31, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
- Sound is richer than the original Apple earphones; there are basses for sure, so I adjusted my iPod EQ to Vocal Booster - Controler works great with my iPhone 3G: picks up/hangs up calls, and has basic iPod functions: stop/start music on single press, next/previous song through double/triple press. - sturdy cord covered with black fabric - as mentioned by another reviewer the controler is slightly bigger than the stock iPhone controler but really no biggie - overall sounds and looks great!
I hesitated a little before buying, but don't regret it. Hopefully will last as long as they seem robust!!
