Wonderful! April 20, 2008 This iPod is so much fun to use! With a ton of extras like a stopwatch, alarm, calendar and internet access I love it. Pictures are crystal clear and videos are shown with great clarity. Totally recommended to anyone who is on the fence!
Mac/Apple stuff is weird April 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I did buy the software updates online through Itunes. First all the negatives... The whole Itunes folder/ proprietary thing makes managing this thing a pain in the butt! I can't just go in and delete a song/album or photo. I can't figure out how to move music from a different PC to the Itouch without erasing all the other songs in there. The whole management system just stinks. Just like on a Mac laptop. Where is there a manual on this thing? Next, the cable port is in a really bad spot to try and use this thing hooked up in your car. There should be a setting so the display stays on and/or at least unlocked as long as it's getting power. Trying to unlock it, hit music, then artist/song/genre and then next song while driving a stick shift is a bit tricky even for someone who learned to drive while eating a hamburger, drinking a milkshake and shift a three-on-the-tree while changing eight track tapes. If the plug-in where swiveled say, someone could develop a mounting bracket for the unit. I really want to operate the unit in "sideways/horizontal" mode. If it wewre to stay "on" as well, and were mounted like a GPS, it could easily and safely be operated while driving, face it people are going to operate it while driving anyway, and right now it is really dangerous. Randomly messed up songs. Some songs did not get "synced" in properly. There are a few songs of the 8 gigs worth of music I synced in to the Itouch that just start for 2 seconds and then stop and move along to the next song, no matter the method of play. The files are fine, they play on the computer and I've also made MP3 CD's of the same files and play them on various CD players. I don't know what the software is where the problem is, maybe Safari, but I only get a request for a password to access a secure WiFi, when the providers want a username and a password. Even though I have accounts with the secure WiFi nets, I can't get in with the ITouch. Now the good: The image quality is awesome for the tiny screen. The access to the internet through unsecured WiFi is an incredible tool. The interface and popup video keyboard is amazingly easy to use. So much of the interface is So intuitive, it amazes me the management is not. Battery life is very strong. The maps function is also so useful, but it only works when hooked on the WIFI. You even lose your last map or directions when you leave the hotspot. OK so that's a down. But that brings me to my summation. If you like all the features available and are happy with just WiFi access to the internet, this is worth it. Especially if you have a car that can operate an Ipod through steering wheel controls. However, if you want to use the maps/e-mail/internet in you car, get an Iphone. I would if they offered a data only service/no-voice. Plus they need a better hookup in the car.
Un equipo que no debe faltar en sus viajes April 12, 2008 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
Excelente MP3.

Product had a malfunction, but it was exchanged for a new iPod with updates when my original product was without updates. Good deal.
Great Ipod but you need a conversion software for videos in windows media April 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I never owned an Ipod before and I`m very pleased with the Ipod Touch. The only problem that so far I have noticed it`s that you can't download videos to your Ipod unless you have a conversion program or Quick Time Pro, to convert common windows media files in Quick Time . Itunes doesn`t have the option to convert them as it has to convert music files.
