the product works great but the shipping charges are just scandalous. i reccommend getting it directly from the manufacturer. however, here it is still a lot cheaper than getting an adaptor directly from apple. i was NOT going to pay thirty bucks!

I'm overall satisfied with my travel charger. I constantly listen to my ipod at work. We run linux boxes so it isn't really an option to plug my ipod mini into my tower- so this provides a nice alternative. I also didn't feel like shelling the $20-30 for the official USB charger or a base station.
+ cheap simple to use
+ works
- doesn't come with the USB chord. You have to use the one that comes with your ipod
-- the charger seems to screw with the scroll wheel. When my mini is plugged in, the volume will jump up and down like its receiving mixed signals. (menu, pause/play, other buttons seem to work fine) [quick work-around, unplug the charger for 2 seconds, use the wheel, plug it back in].
Overall i think the important parts are that it works and its cheap. If you want something pretty and seamless, look elsewhere.

Even though there is an OUTRAGEOUS hidden charge of $7.99 for a $4.99 item...the price is still about a third of the equivalent item offered by Apple.
