I didn't want to shell out a big chunk of change just to protect my ipod, and this seemed like a good deal. I'm pleased with it but not impressed. It's really a mixed bag.
Pros:
1) Hard case does the trick in protecting the ipod.
2) The flip-top cover is perfect for easy access (no pulling the ipod out of a "sock" or slip and risking a nasty fall).
3) The leather looks nice.
4) The wrist strap is perfect and keeps my ipod close and from falling out of my hands when I fall asleep listening to music during my daily commute.
Cons:
1) Stitching is incredibly shoddy. I only had the case for a week or two before the stitching on the wrist strap started to come out.
2) Leather is beginning to peel a bit.
3) The shield and clip are redundant (the clip especially doesn't hold), so I ended up leaving them off. The ipod came with a shield and I never wear belts let alone clip anything to them, so this isn't an issue for me personally.
So why the three stars for some serious cons? I was looking for something cheap that would do one job above all: protect my ipod. I'm okay with my decision - you get what you pay for, after all. For some people, these cons may bother them more (i.e. if they prefer to clip their ipod to themselves). For me, this was just good enough and my ipod's working fine.

I received this in the mail yesterday and I'm thrilled. Coming with both the lanyard and a belt clip, there's now no need for me to fuss with an anrmband too! The case provides excellent access to all the controls (hold switch, earphone jack, charger port, etc.). The leather is suprisingly good quality, soft and supple and best of all it doesn't make the whole thing too heavy or bulky. Fast shipping, too!

I received my 80gb Ipod this last Christmas, and this case along with it. Originally, this seemed like a very good case. It had soft leather on combined with a firm but semi-flexible skeleton. I even dropped it a couple times (accidentally of course) onto hard pavement, without a ding in my ipod.
6 months later, I take off the case and come to find that where the two magnets sit inside the case, at the same place on my ipod, there are now two large scuff marks, and scuffs/scratches wherever this case had touched my ipod. I am now having to spend upwards of forty dollars for an ipod cleaning kit (applesauce) and a new case. My recommendation: Don't buy this case unless you want to spend another $40-$50 later on.

The case looks great. It's got openings for all the plugs. The only thing I'm not too sure about is the belt clip it comes with. It doesn't come already attached, there's a little screw for it. But the screw never locks in place so the clip can sway from side to side. And if it does that too often, the clip will unscrew and coul drop the Ipod to the ground. It'd be nice if it locked in place once it was screwed in or cam with it permanently attached. But for the price compared to others out there, it's a good case.

This leather case fits my 80 gb ipod video player perfectly. Love the magnetic close on it. Comes with a lanyard (wish it was a wristlet) and a belt clip that you can screw on or leave off. The belt clip moves around a lot. Also, you can plug things into it, but you can't keep it in this case and put on a docking station. But if you just want something cute and nice looking to carry your ipod in, it's great. I recommend it, and it arrived within 3 days of ordering!
