You get what you pay for. March 10, 2010 Pharmer Dave (Memphis, TN) The charger quit working after about a week. I thought it may be the fuse, but there is not a replaceable fuse. Hey, it's only a couple of bucks though. You might get one that will last.
iPhone Rapid Car Charger March 4, 2010 KY IT TECH (Mid West) This iPhone car charger seems to be a "workable" purchase with the following understandings:
1) The biggest problem is the fact that this D/C car charger for the iPhone has a connector for the iPhone side of the charging connection that has a rectangular shape with 90 degree angles on the corners; whereas, the the A/C charger that came with the iPhone has a connector for the iPhone that is also rectangular but has "rounded" corners. When one buys a protective case for the iPhone, the hole through the protective case which one uses to connect a charger is also rounded on the corners. Therefore, rounded corners seem to tbe what is expected for iPhone connectors . . . especially in the case of the Ottorback protective case.
I had to use a dremmel tool to round the corners of the D/C Charger to get it to fit through my protective iPhone case; after which, it worked fine.
2) The D/C Charger's curled cord is a little too short to enable the ability to keep the iPhone pluged into the D/C Assessory outlet and still use the phone while it is charging.
3) There is a catch-pin on each side of the D/C Charger connector that goes into the iPhone; this is a good idea but it will take time see if the construction of this area is going to be durable or not.
Charge me up March 3, 2010 Nicole Joseph (Sacramento, CA United States) I was a bit skeptical at purchasing a non-apple charger for my phone--after all your iphone is an investment. I've been using it for about a month now and no problems. I bought two others as gifts at the same time but they haven't been used yet (okay delivered) but I'm sure they will be just as happy with their new chargers as I am with mine. I would definitely purchase from this seller again.
Do the Job February 12, 2010 K. Chen I purchased this product for emergency use only, and it does it job. Nothing to complain about. The material may be cheap but all I need is for it to charge my iphone when I need it in case of an emergency on the road, and it did the purpose. I've been having it for few months now, but I only used it for like 3 or 4 times and is still working fine.
Gets the job done, fast charge February 5, 2010 J. Rabin (Boston, MA) It charges the phone pretty quick in the car, gets the job done. Cant beat it for the price
