 I didn't like it November 17, 2008
I don't like that it's wavy (It's installed properly and there are no bubbles). It blurred small fonts. It smells exactly like book covers I used to buy when I was little. You could buy that stuff really cheap (minus the liquid and nonpermanent adhesive).
I took it off the iPhone after a day.
I like how the iPhone glass feels. I can clean it if I have to. I didn't like the cruddy feel of this (around the home button, etc).
I know, it's just personal preference, but it's sad to have a nice screen become blurry with this thing.

I bought 3 shields for ipod touch 1st and 2nd generation and a laptop direct from Zagg. Not only did they arrive late and have problems with my order due to new changes they had made at there company in shipping but when I got them they were in poor condition boxes looked like hell. I applied them and they failed they look bad when applied I followed every step and tips they looked like orange peel texture and made the screens blur. I would suggest not spending any money on Zagg buy another case or protection for your gadgets I emailed them back and forth many times new person each time all who gave me empty promises from free replacements to refunds and yes I tested the hell out of this also only positive thing about it is comes off easy after applied and cleans with no sticky mess. SAVE YOUR MONEY buy another item I could not suggest what might be right for you but I spent over 200 dollars alone on cases I am now very happy with what I got and it works perfect zagg is a hype never again will I buy from them all of what they sent me went to the trash the same week.

After owning my new iphone for about 15 minutes I was already appalled at the appearance of fingerprints on the screen and wanted to further protect the screen and case from day to day wear and tear bouncing around in my bag with my keys, wallet etc. This was the only iphone 3g screen protector product available at the store I stopped at, so I decided to give it a try despite the intimidating price.
Long story short: the product works exactly as advertised. I was a little afraid of trying to install this thing after reading some other reviews and learning that there are video demonstrations. Unlike the above reviewer, I DO NOT have steady hands. I have previously installed similar screen protectors on laptop and pda screens with limited success. I usually find it impossible to get all the bubbles out. However, with this product, the supplied spray really does make it easy to get the protector in the right place on the first try and makes it easier to push the bubbles out. Getting the screen protector on the front of the iphone was very simple. The cover for the back of the iphone was more challenging because of the finicky little tabs. At first there were numerous bubbles remaining in the back cover and I could not get the corner tabs to stick. I decided not to worry about it because I had already ordered another case which would cover this up and the device was at least protected if not terribly aesthetically pleasing.
Fast forward about a week and all of the bubbles really did magically push themselves out and the corners eventually stuck in place. I was truly amazed. I have had a similar screen protector on my laptop screen for over a year and it still has some bubbles in it. But whatever the stuff is this cover is made out of, the bubbles really will work themselves out. Additionally, fingerprints are less noticeable on the screen, and I feel that the exterior of my iphone is well protected.
Overall I am terribly pleased with this product. It is a bit more expensive than other screen protectors, but it does the job it is advertised to do and better than other similar products. I think it does diminish the aesthetic appeal of the iphone to some extent because even with all the bubbles gone you can still see the clear seams in the case hence I can only give it four stars. But I feel the slightly diminished appearance is more than worth it for protection of this expensive device.

I had heard this product was difficult to install, and that is an understatement. I talked to two friends that installed the Zagg and love it. I read the instructions carefully, then watched the online video before beginning and followed the instructions exactly. I have excellent fine motor skills, in case you're wondering. It is a little tricky to get the shield off of the backing, but not too bad, but it is very difficult to align the shield with the two holes in the iPhone. The first hole is easy, but when you get to the bottom there is often a slight misalignment, so you have to pull up and start over, and I think this is where the film gets distorted and the permanent bubbles get in. In other words, you get one chance to get it right or the film is destroyed. I have seen this product properly installed on another iPhone and it looks awesome - far superior to other covers. I may buy another one and try again or I may give up.
