 Protects better than it looks! November 5, 2008
The lg glimmer I got is a nice phone but it looks somewhat fragile so in order to make sure I dont destroy it I got this case. This is more or less a rubberized case that snaps on in two parts so the phone can keep its slider functionality. Its very durable and I have no doubt that it offers a lot of protection.
However, like almost any protective case, it doesn't exactly look wonderful. You get a cool looking phone then wrap it in this and well throw cool looking out the window. It offers no protection to the screen so if you want some sort of scratch protection look around and there are screen protectors out there.It also has a removable quick-release belt clip that I personally don't get a lot of use out of it but if I needed something like that it seems designed well.
The other review says the case covers the phones charger ports and that is just wrong. The sides of the phone where all the function buttons and ports are is totally uncovered and everything is totally accessible. I'm honestly not sure what the other reviewer is talking about to be honest.
So in short this thing will protect the phone, doesn't do a thing for the screen though, allows all the phones buttons and ports to be used, and yes it doesn't look great but its not terrible. Pair this case with a screen protector and your glimmer will be as safe as it can be.

I bought this cover at the same time as the phone. When I tried to plug in the charger the front cover was in the way and I had to completely remove the front cover in order for the phone to charge. Although the cover is really nice and works great for protecting the phone, I would not recommend it due to the hassle of constantly having to take off the cover.
