 Great replacement for original product. October 30, 2008
Vary special type of item which is hard to find. $260 devise won't work without it. The original wire which came with the devise has a short life with brittle connections. Manifacture has no replacement available for sale, and want's you to purchase a new device at $260 or more.

The item sent was not a Motorola adapter, but the Seidio Audio Adaptor. Amazon has a problem letting you select the Seidio for some reason. But this worked for my 8830 perfectly!! Be sure to re-flash your Blackberry with the latest OS in order to have the adapter to work correctly. Older OS versions you have to start the music before using the adapter. The new OS does not have this requirement.

There's something to say for Motorola products, whether they're made overseas or here. They do what they're supposed to do. This one does too.

Item works ok. It just wasn't what I expected. The sound output will only come out of one earbud not both like I expected.
Just What I Needed October 11, 2008
This adapter worked perfectly for my Moto Q9c and I recommend it to any one looking to use there own ear phones for stereo.
