 This Cable is no good August 22, 2008
I bought this cable simply because it said it will work with the ipod video but i don't think it will work with anything at all. don't bother buying this cable for the the ipod classic it won't work. I know for sure mines is the 160gb classic and it doesn't work at all. Don't buy
ONLY WORKS ON OLDER iPODS June 19, 2008
Ive bought a varitey of different cables that say you can use them for video, but all of them only work for sound. i have a spankin new 80gig, from what ive been reading. they modified the new ipods so that none of these cables work. so youd better start looking for one made by apple.

I tried this item with my IPod Touch on both a TV & LCD projector, and the video did not work (audio did work). I MADE SURE the correct connections were made and the correct inputs selected. IT SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK.

THIS PRODUCT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY. IT DOES NOT WORK FOR MY IPOD CLASSIC NOR FOR THE NANO.

I ordered this cable a few days ago and just recieved it today. FINALLY, I can watch videos on my tv from the ipod nano, WRONG! First off, I should have known better, I read the reviews and how alot of you had trouble also. One reviewer that said it worked, just make sure the video output setting is turned on - is what I thought the problem for alot of people was. I guess I was wrong. Plugged it in, video setting to tv output and nothing on screen. Ipod says "connect output signal" or whatever it says on the screen. Went to music folder and played a song, that worked - on the left speaker channel. The right channel was dead. So, I took apart the connecter where it plugs into the ipod. To my surprise, two of the wires have broken off the pins. "So that's why it's not working?" Wrong again, same thing, not a single thing on the screen and that message on the ipod, but I got the right channel working now. I looked up the pin layout chart to see if the pins are in the right place and they are, so I don't know what the deal is. I don't plan on sending it back, it's not worth my time. Gave it one star because it arrived quickly though! So BUYERS BEWARE!
