Gorgeous, and Great iPod Protection, too August 25, 2008
NOTE: After visiting the Apple Store in NYC, I fell in love with the iPod covers they sell... but hated the price. I wrote down the name of the company that produced the skins sold at the Apple Store that I liked best, came to Amazon, and the rest is (a much cheaper) history!
This iPod skin is a mixed hard cover/silicon cover for your 3rd generation iPod (in this case, a silver 4GB). The silicon cover goes on first, followed by the snap-on metallic cover. Great protection from dust, dampness, being dropped or scratched, splatters, etc.
The deciding factor in this purchase was:
1. Superior protection and aesthetics (hardtop plus silicon, not too heavy or cumbersome, attractive)
2. Belt clip
3. Neck hanger (an unusual but cool addition, especially good for younger users, such as my 8 y.o. son)
I'm just sorry I could only find the red version when I purchased it on Amazon, although the red looks great. Hopefully they will soon carry other colors. RECOMMENDED!

This is a great all purpose cover that looks cool and protects the Nano very well. I've dropped it a couple of times, and not even a scratch! All the Nano features are easily worked, from the sensitive dial, to the sync port and earphone jack. You'll forget its not the original case of the Nano soon after snuggly fitting it on your device. I loved the red option, a color not offered in the Nano itself.
