Amazon.com Product Description Simple, two-piece construction ensures ample protection of your iPhone, while still allowing access to the touch screen, microphone, and connectors. This tough yet environmentally friendly case shields your investment against dust, dings, and drops. The Agent18 company spans back many generations of music device protection, starting with its founder, Wilhelm von Agent, maker of the first glass harp cover back in 1579. More than 300 years later, the family business was passed onto Vesputi Virginina-Agent, an Italian cousin and inventor of the first wooden phonograph cover (Il Protectoro del Fonopodo) back in 1888. He took the business with him to America, where his great grandson eventually created the aluminum record player cover in 1957. As technology flew forward, so did the Agent family's music protection... with the Rubber Jukebox Glove, the Cover-man for Walkmen, and the neon Ka-boom Box Plastic Dome. Now, 18 of the descendents of Wilhelm von Agent live and work at Agent18. Headquarters are located in the attic of the Griffith Park Observatory in Los Angeles, Calif., where Agent18 creates breakthrough protection for music devices and other electronics accessories for the world. Okay, the real truth is that Agent18 is just a bunch of nerdy engineers that spend a lot of time with their iPods, cameras, PSPs, and computers, and protecting those gadgets is important to them. All of Agent18 products are designed in sunny Southern California, or on a plane, or sometime when one of the Agent18 team members is out running in the park! Agent18's goal is to design products that its employees would use for products that they love. They hope you will like the products as well. Welcome to Agent protection.

Excellent case June 5, 2008 After using the Marware Sport Grip Case for about six months, I got this Eco Shield, which I've now had for a few weeks. The Marware case is good, but streches out after time, and my biggest gripe was that it was difficult to hit the edges of the screen because it's cut so close. The Agent18 Eco Shield isn't cut nearly as close to the screen, and so it fixed my problem perfectly! It seems to be very well made; all the holes are places in exactly the right place. I think this is the best case out there!
This case does not suck... May 22, 2008 This case is currently on the iPhone I'm typing this review on and I'm VERY happy with it! It feels incredibly durable and despite dropping the phone on gravel pavement, there are no marks on the phone or the case!! In conjunction with a screen protector, your phone will be incredibly well protected! My only complaint is that the side clips don't feel very secure or tight. Then again, the case has never fallen apart on its on... So maybe my complaint is completely moot.
Final thought: if you're on the fence about this product, just buy it. The price is right, the quality is awesome, and the look is really classy. Take it from a picky, trendy graphic designer. This case is AWESOME.
An excellent iPhone cover at good value. May 19, 2008 A well-priced product, it has a nice snug fit to the iPhone while still allowing easy access to all controls. The fact that it is made from recycled plastic is a bonus for the eco-conscious; otherwise, it's just a nice choice if you prefer the black color. The cover slides over the iPhone in two pieces, top and bottom, which join together in the middle. It does the job of offering some protection against bumps and small drops, without giving up too much of the slimness that makes the iPhone so appealing in the first place. Also, unlike some rubber-type sleeves, this smooth plastic slides easily in and out of pockets without getting jammed.
Only two things detract from this product, lessening my rating from five to four stars:
- After a while, the grasp between the upper and lower pieces loosened enough so that the bottom piece would sometimes slip off inadvertently when I was handling the phone. This was easily corrected by manually pinching the side tabs to give them more "grab".
- While the charging cord can be connected without removing the cover, the bottom cover does have to be removed in order to fit the iPhone into the sync dock.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with this purchase, with over a month of heavy use, it has held up well.
Great case but it scratched my iPhone May 2, 2008 This is a great case in terms of protection and being relatively slim. The only problem is it had a very small piece of plastic (we're talking maybe 1/32 or 1/64 of an inch) that was left behind in the manufacturing process as thin as a hair, but enough to scratch the aluminum on the back of my phone which was disappointing.
Maybe perfect May 1, 2008 I wanted something that would protect my iPhone while not detracting from its looks. This may be the very best I could ask for. It's not quite as svelte with the case, but it's close, and the case is substantial enough to give some actual protection. It slides in and out of pockets easily, unlike rubber-type cases, and it is so well-integrated it doesn't even look like a case. Small con: doesn't fit in the cradle with the case on; it's easy enough to slide the bottom half of the case off, but I just plug in the cable directly instead.
