Shure rocks July 10, 2010 Jason Scoggins This is my second inline mic adapter for my Shure earbuds. I wasn't gentle on my first one and the connection at the plug started to get spotty.
There's no comparison between my Bluetooth headset and my Shure rig. Every year or so I give the Bluetooth another shot, but I just can't get past the crappy audio quality.
Great product July 2, 2010 Mathew Carter I bought this for use with my touch pro 2 phone. I own the shure se110 which I used with this product, and the combination is great. The se110s are great because the cord actually disconnects from the headphones. Using the shorter headphone cord and the music adapter gives the perfect length. The mic reaches about chest high, and when I was on calls people didn't have a problem hearing me. I would reccomend this product.
Keep it in the pocket June 25, 2010 Mike R (MD) The Shure MPA-3C music phone adapter for iPhone works as claimed. If you want to keep your phone in your pocket while using it to listen to music hands-free, the insertion of the adapter in between your phone and older or cheaper earphones without a built-in switch for answering calls is convenient.
Many times people hear me "faded" June 22, 2010 Alejandro (USA) This adapter is great to turn my Shure headsets into phone headsets. However, many times I get the feedback from the other party that I have suddenly faded and it seems to be related to how the microphone is positioned or when I tilt my head as e.g. I type when I talk.
Review includes this item ! June 20, 2010 Thor H. (Boulder CO USA) « And, if you want to add insult to injury, as I did: just try adding their « Shure MPA-3C Music Phone Adapter for iPhone » which for another $30 gives you a Pause / Answer Call / End Call button still with no volume or track controls and located so that you will have to be miked with a clip to try --unsuccessfully-- having a telephone conversation. It is simply unbelievable, at least perplexing, why Shure would inflict this ridiculous pain upon us. Save your money. Even if you don't need the iPhone adapter, buy another brand with integrated controls. If you have an iPhone or another mobile, do not even blink, click away from this mess immediately »
Although the sound quality is very good, and that should be what counts, I cannot recommend this product. Everything other than the earbuds is so carelessly designed and manufactured and outdated that in combination they trump the sound quality of the earbuds. It is like a Ferrari engine inside a Soviet-era automobile. The cords and connectors and lack of in-cord controls render this a sad memorial to 1980's bad design. Just like Sony insists in attaching power supply and connector monstrosities to otherwise well-designed Vaios and Cybershots, Shure has cement-shoed these quality earbuds.
