5 out of 5 stars Amazing!! (Just Use a Swimcap to Keep Them in Ears)   November 29, 2008
I've tried a lot of different waterproof headphones and these are by far the best. ANY earphone will fall out while swimming unless you wear either a headband or an over-the-ear swim cap (I use the excellent Aqua Sphere silicone swim cap).

Once you get a feel for how to place the earphones under the cap, they are pretty fail-safe (I'd say only once in every 30 to 40 swims I get a little water getting between the earphone and my ear canal--no big deal). And the sound quality (under water) is truly spectacular.

(And btw, I use them with a waterproofed Ipod Shuffle from Swimman.net -- really great solution that clips onto the back of your swim cap.)

There is definitely a little bit of a learning curve to get started with these, but once you get a feel for putting them in right, they add about one minute to your pre-swim routine and are definitely worth it.

2 out of 5 stars Pretty lousy in my opinion   November 24, 2008
I've used these for 3 swims now in combination with the H20 Audio waterproof case. I'm not a fan of them at all. As soon as any water gets into the ear the sound basically goes mute. The seal of the headphones is not very good, so this happens often. You can turn the sound up extremely loud and still hear slightly, but then as you turn your head to breathe and the water moves within the ear the sound turns from blasting to mute over and over.

All in all I would say these are a lousy set of headphones for swimming unless you can find some way to seal your ear so no water gets in.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent earbuds   November 23, 2008
These waterproof earbuds are great! They fit nicely in the ears and are great when wearing a cap. To use them without a cap, I might want the larger size, since they can slip out easily. Great with a cap - no discomfort, etc.

5 out of 5 stars Worked Great   October 15, 2008
I used these for the first time this morning and they were great. However, I did choose to use a swim cap to avoid the issues with them coming out, worked like a charm.

5 out of 5 stars I highly recommend these!   October 8, 2008
I got these about a month ago and have been using them at least 3x/week since with no problems. I swim a mile each time. I use these with an Otterbox in an armband. Swimming with an Ipod is WONDERFUL, it makes the swim go so much faster!!!

As other reviewers have noted, you have to wear a swim cap with these to keep them in your ears. I bought an inexpensive latex one at a sporting goods shop for around $6. I usually stop once per swim to adjust my headphones, it only takes a moment and I swim for around 30-35 minutes. So if you are a really hardcore swimmer who doesn't want to stop at all, you might need a step up from these. My problem is usually that my swim cap eventually rides up over my ears and then one side will pop out.

I think the sound is pretty good with these, I have no problem hearing my music although of course it sounds best when my head is completely submerged. I think these are great headphones for the money!!
