Yes it does sync but as already stated does not charge camera. I still need a charger, more expense
 great sync cable BUT WILL NOT CHARGE THE CAMERA February 25, 2008

The sync cable works but it will not charge the camera by usb at all.. even with a usb wall outlet converter. should be called a usb sync cable...
