Look carefuly before you buy July 23, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I also wanted to buy this cable for my Mac-to-Mac migration. Fortunately I did take a second, more careful look. This cable has "MALE" plugs, Macs have "MALE" sockets (for this kind of plug shape). So I have a question to reviewers who claim that they used this cable with their Macs: how did you manage to connect a "male" plug with a "male" socket?
Conclusion: The cable itself might even work fine but I give it only 1 star for its deceptive potential for Mac users for whom it is practically useless. If you need a 6-pin FireWire cable for your Mac then skip this one.
Looks good works even better July 2, 2008 Bought this to replace a factory supplied FireWire cable that came with an external hard drive. It works very well, has high quality construction, and looks great.
Good, but not the same as the picture February 7, 2008 I received the cable in no time at all, far sooner than the estimated delivery. Perhaps if clearav would have spent more time with my order they would have sent me the right cable. I received a 1394 6-pin 6' cable and it works well, but it's black and looks nothing like the translucent cable I wanted; however, it was one of the better prices for this type of cable. I guess you pay for what you get.
Great Deal for iMac Migration!! December 28, 2007 Wow, what can I say? The cable worked perfectly for my Apple iMac-to-iMac transfer (using Leopard's Migration Assistant). Fast delivery, quality cable, absolutely phenomenal price. This was an excellent purchase! Highly recommended.
Works great December 7, 2007 Needed a firewire cable to transfer data from an old Mac to a new one. This worked perfectly and at a price that can't be beat.
