Not What You Think It Is. December 5, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When i bought this dance pad i thought it would be great. All it has are little arrows on a screen that barely say that you got ant right. The music is like the music on a gameboy like a mario game. I tried it onece and didn't like it if you have a playstation or X-box i sugjust getting a dance bad for them.
BADDDDD BAD BAD. April 24, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was made to think this was just like the DDR for Xbox or PS2. IT IS NOT. The graphics are HORRIBLE and remind me of old school Atari games and the music SUCKS. It's just lame bad quality arcade music. No words or anything. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY NO MATTER HOW MUCH OF A DEAL YOU THINK IT IS. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT BUY.
OK for the money March 19, 2006 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I'm an adult and I was looking for a DDR that I could use for exercise and I don't have or want an entire video game system like PlayStation or XBox. So I figured I'd try this. The price was right. (Shipping charges were a bit high, though. But it arrived two days after I ordered it, which was great.) I didn't find one on any other site that was less than this one after you calculated in shipping charges.
Yes, the graphics and the sound quality leave a bit to be desired. But it works just fine for what I was looking for. The first 25 tracks or so are strange versions of songs that I have a hard time recognizing, but the later tracks that include three different unlabeled songs are much easier on the ears and also easier to dance to. You can actually recognize the tune, hear the beat and understand when you're supposed to make a step. There are also a couple of arcade games - Whack a Mole and a lame pinball game. I can't figure out how to back out or exit the pinball game without powering down the entire system, though. So I recommend avoiding that track.
I think it will work just fine for what I want - a good workout that's also fun. I worked up quite a sweat my first time out.
Dont buy this! March 15, 2006 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a very cheap version of DDR. It shouldn't be worth paying anything at all for it. Most of the time it doesn't register the steps and even though there are 50 songs, they have no distinguishable beat and are really cheaply produced. I cant think of one good reason to buy this game.
