iSkin have taken their excellent and popular eVo2 case and redesigned it for the new 4G Clickwheel iPod (40GB) - with more protection and more functionality, the eVo is the ultimate iPod 4th Generation (4G) protection device. Also fits the iPod Photo 40 + 60GB!
The iSkin eVo includes an improved screen protector that has four mini soft mounts that grip to the iPods surface and keeps the protector elevated. Once placed over the screen, the protector acts a barrier against objects coming in contact with your iPod's screen.
Many iSkin customers want to use their favoritetop mounting iPod accessories with their iSkin. So we made it possible to plug devices like the iTrip and NaviPod into the iPod without having to remove the iSkin eVo first. The top of the iPod remains protected by the iSkin eVo and gives you easy access to the hold switch.
We went back to the drawing board and came up with a completely new belt clip design. Its made of a durable, non-shattering, light weight plastic polymer that wont snap apart. The new RevoClip design offers one of the lowest profiles found on belt clips of its kind. It integrates seamlessly into the iSkin eVo and clips securely to your belt. The new RevoClip can be completely removed if desired and is fully compatible with the iSkin eXo2.

After having several "protection" solutions, this has been one that I am *almost* perfectly content with. It keeps dust out, saves the screen from scratches while still retaining perfect viewing, and of course is offered in several colors. The carbon colored one is pretty effective in hiding dust and dirt. I did not receive the touch pad cover, but otherwise it's complete protection.
My main issue with this item is the plastic belt clip. There's been many times where something will barely touch the iPod and rip the belt clip mount right off the back of the skin. Who knows how many times this can happen before it breaks. I wouldn't recommend this for anything that involves alot of bouncing or physical contact, ie biking, skateboarding, or maybe even jogging.

I read Bryant's review and still decided to buy this case. BIG MISTAKE!!! I have to have my ipod sent for repairs now for the same reason as him. The ipod does not connect to the computer properly and it will not turn off or reset. I would much rather have scratches on my ipod. I do not recommend this product; spend some time to research a good case.

I'm not sure what exactly happened to the last reviewer's connection, but although it's impossible to use the dock without first taking off the skin (which is relatively easy, regarless of what the reviews on other skins have said), you can just use the connector to sync with iTunes. It's a small price to pay for the protection you need for such a beautiful and scratch-prone machine. I recommend getting a case BEFORE you buy the iPod.
I looked for quite a while before buying this one, because I wanted beauty, portability, total protection and total accessibility of the controls. With the click wheel cover, this one is it.
I have to mention that my model came with a FREE click-wheel cover, which was very nice. It's a relief to know the whole thing is protected from scratches and dirt. The screen protector is nice and shiny and is The held off from the screen by 6 soft, clear rubber nubs, which is for scratch prevention, but it could probably absorb any accidental whacks that comes its way as well.
You can use the clip provided with the skin, or remove it (by the way, the clip's specifically NOT recommended for heavy-duty activities such as jogging.
Another frequent complaint about any skin is their tendency to attract lint and dust. That's definitely true with this one, but with this color (Carbon), it's not as visually noticeable. It also comes off fairly easily, I'm sure, with the proverbial "clean, damp cloth".
All in all, a solid product (although in my opinion the click wheel cover should come standard) that does the job well. Probably the best in its class.

I made the mistake of buying the iSkin. The opening for the docking port does not exactly match the firewire connector, so you do not get a complete connection. Now my docking port no longer works properly. I can't connect to iTunes. My iPod won't even do a reset now. As a result of purchasing this product my iPod is on the way back to Apple for repair. AVOID THIS PRODUCT AT ALL COSTS.
