Product Description iSkin have taken their excellent and popular eVo2 case and redesigned it for the new 4G Clickwheel iPod (40GB) - with more protection and more functionality, the eVo is the ultimate iPod 4th Generation (4G) protection device. Also fits the iPod Photo 40 + 60GB!
The iSkin eVo includes an improved screen protector that has four mini soft mounts that grip to the iPods surface and keeps the protector elevated. Once placed over the screen, the protector acts a barrier against objects coming in contact with your iPod's screen.
Many iSkin customers want to use their favoritetop mounting iPod accessories with their iSkin. So we made it possible to plug devices like the iTrip and NaviPod into the iPod without having to remove the iSkin eVo first. The top of the iPod remains protected by the iSkin eVo and gives you easy access to the hold switch.
We went back to the drawing board and came up with a completely new belt clip design. Its made of a durable, non-shattering, light weight plastic polymer that wont snap apart. The new RevoClip design offers one of the lowest profiles found on belt clips of its kind. It integrates seamlessly into the iSkin eVo and clips securely to your belt. The new RevoClip can be completely removed if desired and is fully compatible with the iSkin eXo2.
The iSkin eVo features a bottom dock connectorport cover that wont fall off and get lost. It securely plugsinto the iPods docking/charging port to keep out dust, dirtor liquids that may enter and cause permanent damage.

A great basic skin. Worth the money. December 1, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've owned several iPods and had a bunch of cases, including thin and thick silicon skins, lucite boxes, and aluminum armour. In the end I prefer the basic skin because it's less bulky - even though it provides a bit less protection. The iSkin Evo2 gets it right: * the silicon is thick enough to provide some real protection. * additional thickness at both bottom corners - the most likely impact spots. * Cover for the dock socket to keep dust out. Most skins omit this. * Thick impact resistant screen protection that really stays put and doesn't have a little adhesion dot in the middle that changes size and shape with the weather (always drives me nuts) like on most other skins. This screen cover is really transparent too - with much less visual distortion than usual. * Hole for unimpeded wheel access. This sacrifices some protection in exchange for full click wheel performance. I'll take the trade.
All in all - excellent value for the money and a great balance of attributes.
works great March 12, 2006 I don't know why I waited this long to get one. Better than my old case.
Very disappointing: beware the clip September 28, 2005 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I got this because it looked cool and it had a clip so that I could wear it on my belt while walking and moving around, which is how I use my iPod. I thought I deserved something a little more exciting than the leather holder I had for my old iPod. I've had the EVO iSkin for a few weeks and, okay, it still looks cool. The little flap that protects the dock port is nice. But otherwise I'm not impressed, and most of this comes from the clip. The clip feels extremely cheap--it hasn't broken but I hold my breath every time I clip it to my belt. More to the point, it's complicated and counter-intuitive to clip it on (impossible to do while walking, for example). I know this is for security once it's clipped on, but I never had any problems using a less complicated clip on my old iPod case. With normal use, the clip also tends to rotate and partly unhook itself from the skin, in spite of following the assembly instructions to the letter. The skin itself seem to occasionally put pressure on the "pause" button, again with movement, and even with following the instructions I've still had the little screen protector pop out a few times. This skin may be fine if you hold your iPod in your hand or put it in a pocket, or if you sit perfectly still. But for active, clip-on use it's a disappointment.
The only 4G iPod case / cover you should consider! November 27, 2004 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
I own the LAVA GLO version of this item.
I think this would be the perfect case / cover accessory for the majority of iPod owners who are interested in the following criteria:
1) PROTECTION 2) Screen protection, with completely unimpeded access to click wheel. 3) Screen protection that STAYS PUT. 4) *No* belt clip (the belt clip, as many others have confessed, is just way too fragile to put into use. I actually took it off the cover the minute I unpackaged the cover.) 5) Sound design, with a very secure connector flap cover, teflon-footed completely transparent acrylic screen protector, non-slip attractive silicone case, and ventilation holes in the back.
This case will repel all those nasty and irritating dust buggers that can wreak havoc laying down fine scratches all over the iPod!
If you're buying an iPod today, *buy this case as well!*
