Buy, Buy, Buy!! December 1, 2008 This product was delivered on time and safely wrapped correctly. The ram was "brand new" and the correct one! If you are looking to pay an affordable price for ram and receive a great product, BUY THIS! DO NOT SPEND MORE THAN THIS FOR RAM as there is no ram better than another if it is ordered correctly. Make sure you get the right specs before ordering your ram. You WILL NOT be disappointed!
Worked for me! August 30, 2008 I was able to get a this very cheap (not from this shipper) and my system feels like it got a strong cup of caffine (Now have three sticks of 512 RAM instead of one). I cannot stress enough to buyers - make sure that your motherboard can accomodate this type of RAM - CHECK YOUR MANUAL (I had to download a copy of mine cause I couldn't find it - I only had the box LOL). If you have existing RAM and it says PC133 SDRAM you should be good to go. If you are looking to increase to 1GB check your motherboard manual to make sure it can accomodate that kind of capacity . If you don't know what the heck your doing, buy from a bricks and mortar store that will allow you to return the RAM if it is the wrong type so you don't have to deal with shipping and handling. (Or do like me - get it real cheap so you can stand the loss if it is defective or incompatable)
Note: I had to re-sit the RAM card twice (ie take it out and put it in again) before my computer would recognise it. But then I had this problem even with my existing RAM which still works hunky-dory so it probably just means that I need get some 'bottled air' and blow out the dust in the slots : D
I got this in a sealed anti-static sleeve in a bubble-lined envelope (no box) through international shipping - I was so afraid that it would have been warped when I opened it but it was perfectly fine!
I'm watching the prices here - whew - I only paid US12.00 for 2 sticks of 512RAM and that included shipping and handling : (
The worst customer service ever November 3, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This company is not worth a rating! I ordered memory from this company. They sent me the wrong product. It took over 6 weeks to get the attention of the right party with the company. They had me doing all kinds of unnecessary things like taking digital pictures of the wrong items that they had sent. It took about another two weeks to jump through all of their hoops.I then had to contact them again by e-mail becuase they thought so little of my business that they could not even initiate an e-mail. By this time, I had to go to a local shop and purchase the correct memory. So, instead of asking for an exchange, I asked for a refund. These baffoons sent me to yet another department which took another 2 weeks to answer an e-mail. They finally decided to post a refund, but not the full amount. They mentioned nothing about a re-stock fee or anything similar. When I sent them an e-mail to request an explanation, it got bounced back saying that their system found a virus and refused the e-mail. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVING GOOD-FOR-NOTHING MORONS. They will only rip you off.
Bad memory Bad customer service September 29, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this memory and it didn't work in my computer after installing it my monitor would not come on. I made serveral attempts to customer service and sometimes didn't hear anything until I sent another email. I finally was told to give them my computer model number and make and I did, then didn't hear anything again and finally I was told to send the memory back. Now that company is charging me all kinds of fees for returning it. After it's all said and done I paid a total of $40. and now with all these fees what the hell are they going to give back to me? Fees like e-bay listing and some other non-sense I order this from amazon not e-bay. Before you purchase this memory get as much info as you can and research
Failed Memtest86 from Emartbuy, defective product, terrible customer service August 27, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I order this for my GA-7ZM motherboard, I've been buying RAM for this PC for several years. I've been using PCs for over 20 years. I ordered it through Emartbuy. The RAM was shipped in a soft plastic bag, no hard plastic enclosure. I ran it through Memtest86 and lots of errors showed up right out of bag, more errors than the stick I am trying to replace that was in use for 7 years. And it failed the Memtest twice, that's a first for me. I contacted eMartbuy, sent the memory back. Their replies shocked me, they claimed they tested it before they shipped and they tested again after they got the return, and the memory still works. I can't say about other vendors that's selling this product. DON'T buy from USA eMartBuy, these are not honest people.
