good but funny looking November 28, 2008 Sounds great. Fits great. But it doesn't matter how I wear it (behind the neck, etc) it makes me look dorky. And the mic feels heavy hanging from my left ear.
Really is it that hard to make something fit well, sound good, and not look funny? (the mic doesn't have to be that big and heavy since it's mostly the casing, and I really don't like the asymmetrical chord lengths)
I'll be looking for something else to wear in public (my office) and I'll keep these at home...
Sounds great though!
Liked them so much that I'm getting them again November 28, 2008 These are great iPhone headphones. The earbuds are very comfortable, and the sound quality through the microphone appears to be good (judging by the number of "huh? what'd you say?" responses on the other end, compared to the Apple-supplied iPhone headphones). I am admittedly no expert at headphone sound quality, but they sound good to me.
Last night my cat tore my month-old pair to shreds, so I bought another one today. Can't wait for them to come in!
If I had any complaint at all, it's that they're TOO good at blocking out outside noise; I have to be extra vigilant when I'm walking down the street so I don't get hit by an unheard truck, even if the music is paused.
A great set of earbuds but not perfect October 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been looking for a pair of in-ear head phones for awhile. After owning the MM50 for about a month, I am very happy with the durability and sound quality which is most important to me. However, I have not been overly impressed with the bass that everyone brags about because I want more. That will very person to person and their personal preferences. Additionally, the fit is very comfortable unlike the stock iPhone earphones.
The sound isolation is good. They are just like the Bose Quite over the ear head phones. The sound isolation only enhances the sound quality for the audiophiles. I especially like the sound isolation while riding the motorcycle. They keep the wind noise to a tolerable level. On the other hand, I can still hear the engine running and emergency vehicles when needed. Most important is that they don't protrude out of the ear which making putting on a helmet easier.
There are a couple issues which I have had. First, I don't like hearing myself sing or talk which is a problem of the sound isolation. Second, sometimes I have to hold the microphone close to my mouth so the person on the other end can hear. Lastly, there is sound transfer with movement of the cord. I have found a solution by clipping the cord on my collar. That creates a buffer in the tension of the cord which dramatically decreases this unwanted noise transfer.
Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and have already recommended these earbuds to others.
Sounds good but.... October 18, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I think that the sound quality is there, but I still have not found an earbud that fits comfortably in my ears. I tried all three sizes that come with the unit, but the only ones that I can get to fit, really shut out a lot of the outside world. That's great if your just listening to music, but not when you're driving. The other thing is that the wires are too short for using in the car if you have your Iphone in some kind of cradle by the power plug. I really blame Apple for not allowing the unit to broadcast stereo music through bluetooth. I already had nice earphones for that from my other phone. I'm still searching...
MM50IP Headphones October 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had a bunch of different headphones for ipods & iphones, but for mid priced set with the ability to pause music and answer phone calls, these work great. Once you select the right sized ear pieces, you'll find enough bass to satisfy all but the biggest bass heads. The only negative is there's no carrying case for the earbuds when not using them.
