| Customer Reviews: Great collection of real world project techniques June 27, 2010 Juio E. Barros 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book provides a great insight into techniques used to create real world projects. Each chapter is well done and potentially useful depending on your interests. For me, the chapters on Concurrency and Cocos2d were alone worth many times the price of the book. I'm sure I'll come back to the other chapters as I have more relevant projects. Highly recommended.
A great selection of iPhone cool projects June 23, 2010 Andy Zhang (Washington, DC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book combines several iPhone projects from various developers into one volume. I found some projects are inspiring and interesting. For example, the Flight Track project by Ben Kazez has some great discussions on external data connection and security. There are several other projects I also liked--Ben Britten Smith's 3D game project using Unity 3D Engine, Chuck Smith's 2D game creation project with Cocos2d framework, Scott Penberthy's OpenGL project showing how to render font smoothly.
Great intermediate to advanced iPhone game development book! June 21, 2010 Alex Ionescu (Warren, MI USA) The book contains a treasure-trove of choice iPhone and iPad game development content: from Unit Testing, building a 3D content pipeline, using Cocos2D, and Computer Vision examples, to game development with Unity3D for the iPhone, and writing your own game engine in C++, for maximum flexiblity... There is plenty to keep me busy during the Summer break, as I fine-tune my own iOS app!
