the case itself protect the ipod really well. for example, if you accidentally drop your ipod, nothing will happen to the ipod. it's definitely better if you have the case. the case material is better than a hard case; it's easier to carry. the only thing that i don't like about the case is that lint/dust gets on the case really easily. it's more noticable on mine, since my case is black. but it's very worth it, especially on amazon.com which gives you a huge discount compared to stores.
Nice Silicone skin for my nano October 28, 2008
I had this, and it looks great on my nano. All ports are open even with the skin, so I don't have to remove it. The skin is nice and give it a nice grip. As a bonus, it comes with a screen protector. It also comes with the neckstrap labeling courage and wisdom, which I love very much. I don't seem to be able to find this anywhere else... All my friends have been asking me where I got the strap. Considering the strap is a bonus pack, this is absolute must have for all nano lover.

I bought a clear colored cover for my daughter's new Nano, and I am very disappointed by the flimsiness and the second rate quality of this product. The reason I bought the clear colored version was that the seller did not offer the purple color, which is the color of my daughter's Nano. The cover, rather than being clear, is just an opaque piece of rubber that obscures the color of the Nano altogether. Paying $5 for a $9 product was bad enough, but the prospect of having to spend more money to return the merchandise was unpalatable to me, so I'm keeping it, but I would never purchase any product from this seller again.
