Smells awful; too soft. February 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First of all, these might look like hard plastic, but are in fact very soft and bendy rubber. Therefore, wires can easily slide out of the little slits unless kept taut at all times.
Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the rubber smells awful. I opened the package in the car after receiving it, and the driver immediately asked if someone had "cut one". The rubber smells very strongly of methane, though after two weeks of use, it's only detectable if the rubber is near my face. I haven't experimented yet with removing the smell via washing or soaking, for fear that the rubber will disintegrate.
Altogether, it's a great deal for cleaning up the cords behind your desk, but the pliability and smell make these cord managers imperfect for active use (such as with headphones).
What a great idea January 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For those of us that get annoyed with the wired earbuds, this is the great solution. The wrapper is very lightweight, and you will not notice it when using them. I really bought them for keeping the wires neat in my purse - nothing like trying to get your wallet out and it being wrapped in wire. This is a quick and easy solution. The seller I got them from was REALLY fast too. Very pleased with this purchase, and highly recommend. * ~ * ~ UPDATE * ~ * ~ These are still pretty cool, but they loosen up a lot and fall off - I've lost a couple now! Not a waste of money, but glad they are cheap.
Good for the price (cheap) December 28, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These wraps are nice and cheap and do the job they are supposed to do.
The cord has not slipped off and stays secured.
However, the rubber smells absolutely terrible when you first purchase them, it must be the low grade materials they use.
They are also a lot thinner than I imagined they would be. I pictured them to be more round, when they are fairly thin. Not sure if it is a good thing or bad thing though, b/c if it was round it might be bulkier and less useful.
Bottom line= I like em cause they are cheap. Not bad, but it might be a good idea to get a higher quality one.
